I was browsing my local Pat Catan’s, which had a bunch of embossing folders on clearance and when I came across the wildflower one for $0.50, I couldn’t pass it up.
As for the butterfly reveal wheel add-on, I was purchasing something else and just decided to throw it on my order to reach the free shipping limit. Who knew that these two spontaneous purchases would pair together so nicely.
The color scheme was ultimately decided by the gold foiled blue paper I found in one of my Hot Buy paper pads from Michaels.
From there I added the scripty “Happy” I cut out using my Scan ‘N Cut and colored it with a coordinating Copic marker. I used the same Copic marker to color the blue banner as well.
I used white cardstock in the embossing folder, layered it onto a rectangle of the gold foiled patterned paper, and adhered it to a black A2 card base.
I used “Mother’s Day” from Lawn Fawn’s Happy Happy Happy stamp set and heat embossed it onto a black banner under the “Happy”. All of the banners were cut using Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner dies.
I die cut some of the butterflies out of gold foil cardstock to match the patterned paper and bent the wings up.
To finish the card, I ended up popping up the "Happy" sentiment and covering it with clear wink of Stella for some extra shimmer .
