Congrats Grad

It's graduation time! And for me that means a lot of grad parties coming up real soon. I wanted something simple and easy, but still cute!

For these cards, I knew right away I wanted some scripty off to Etsy I went. I found the perfect SVG file from the shop okieheartparty (link listed below).

Before I cut the design using my Brother Scan N' Cut, I wanted to jazz up the cardstock to make it a little fancier. I used the Ornate Background stamp from Simon Says Stamp on a few different colors of Recollections 65 lb. cardstock. I stamped it with Versamark ink and heat embossed the design with silver embossing powder by Ranger.

To cut the design I converted the SVG file to FCM in Brother Canvas Workspace, transferred it onto a flashdrive and plugged that into my machine. From there, I messed with the sizing until it fit an A2 sized card.

The front panel was cut from 65 lb. Recollections black cardstock with the largest Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle stackable.

I used Fabri-Tac glue to adhere the sentiment; I found that it doesn't warp the paper. I tried Ranger Multimedia Matte but found it warped the paper and dried before I was able to put glue across the entire piece. I also think Tombow Mono Multi Liquid glue would have worked and stays tacky so you wouldn't have to worry about it drying before you got glue on the whole thing.

In the end, I adhered the panel to a 110 lb. white card base with my ATG gun and stamped the inside with a "Congratulations, You Did It!" sentiment.
