Marie from Thoughtful Studio has created a fun challenge for the month of May to shine some light on the essential workers in our postal service. There are four prompts and some awesome freebies to start creating with.
For week one, I used the Tess-A-Penpal digital paper kit and ephemera to create these colorful themed tags. I cut out the stitched tag bases using some dies from my stash, as well as a lacey border die from Pinkfresh Studio.
I used the lacey die to cut a few of the patterned papers from the kit and layered them at the top of the larger tag. Then I arranged a bunch of the ephemera across the whole tag and glued it down.
I tried to do something a little different for the next tag by adding a tiny pocket to the front. I took a rounded stitched rectangle die that fit the front of the tag and cut it from a piece of patterned paper. Then I ripped it in half and added tea dye distress oxide along the edges.
I added 1/8" double sided tape to the back and attached it to the tag. I used more ephemera from the collection to embellish the front and add to the inside of the little pocket.
