Pop up box cards are so fun to make and paired with a Lawn Fawn Christmas, you can’t go wrong!
For this card, I started by stamping out almost every image in the Christmas Dreams stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I used a Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad and 65 lb. white cardstock from Recollections. I then colored up the images with alcohol markers.
I have the Lawn Fawn scalloped box card pop-up die, but I thought the images seemed to fit better in a taller, thinner box card. So I went on YouTube in search of a tutorial and I found one from YouTuber Meg Loven, I’ll link her channel below. To construct the box I used a piece of maroon colored cardstock from Recollections, and followed the instructions in her video.
Once I had the box put together, I went on to cut out my images with my Scan ‘N Cut and lined the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I used papers from the DCWV Very Merry 6”x6” paper pad to go on the panels of the box card. I also stamped out two rug images right onto the patterned paper for the cat and dog beds. I then arranged the images onto the card and glued them down using Tombow Mono Liquid glue.
For my sentiment, I heat embossed a Christmas phrase stamp by Momenta in white embossing powder onto some dark green Recollections cardstock. I cut around the sentiment, leaving a slight border and then used a little bit of Evergreen Bough distress oxide ink along the edges of the paper. I also used the bow stamp included in the Christmas Dreams stamp set to create a bow embellishment, heavily coated with clear Wink of Stella and added it above the sentiment.
For the outside of the box card, I used a different paper from the paper pad for the other panels. I colored up the cute little bear in a sleigh from Lawn Fawn’s Oh What Fun stamp set. I attached everything to the outside of the box and for a final touch, added some snowflake sequins I found at the Dollar Tree.
Finally, I paired the card with a shiny gold envelope.
