If you're looking to make some quick and easy, but super gorgeous looking card sets, the Ornate Background stamp by Simon Says Stamp is perfect!
First, I cut down some 65 lb. Recollections card stock into A2 sized card panels, in various colors.
I then used the MISTI stamping tool and Versamark ink to stamp to panels.
I thought Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder was perfect against the darker backgrounds. I covered the image with the powder and then used my heat tool to emboss the image.
The benefit of this background stamp is that it is so versatile. Any sentiment would work nicely on the front of these cards. In my case, I chose a few from the stamp sets Card Phrases by Stampibilities and Everyday Sayings by Hero Arts.
Again I used Versamark and the gold embossing powder, but this time onto some black cardstock. Once they were heat embossed, I cut flags onto one end or left them as rectangles. I placed them off to the side of the card and popped them up with Scotch foam tape.
Lastly, I used my ATG gun and attached them to premade card bases by Recollections.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
