Pumpkin Spice Shaker - Not 2 Shabby

Hi there!
I am definitely loving the pumpkin digis from the Not 2 Shabby shop, so I had to make another card using one! đđ
For this card, I thought it would be fun to embrace the pumpkin spice season with a orangey brown shaker card.
To start, I printed my digital image on to a piece of 80 lb. Neenah card stock and I also decided to give my colored pencils a try instead of Copics this time. So first, I shaped out the segments of the pumpkin with a light orange pencil. Then I continued layering darker and darker oranges until I was happy with how it was looking. For some extra texture on the pumpkin, I added a couple bumps.
I moved onto the leaf and then the stem, starting with lighter colors and building up a bunch of light layers, adding darker colors when needed.
After the coloring, I fussy cut my image and went around the edge with a black Memento marker. I also touched up the black areas with a micron pen, which turned out to be a little bit of a mess. Because of the waxiness from the pencils, I ended up smearing black across my image in a few spots, but I did my best to wipe it off and color over it.
Once I had my pumpkin, I thought it needed something to go along with it on the card front. I used some spice images from the new You, Me and Pumpkin Spice stamp set from Not 2 Shabby, as well as the sentiment.
I stamped and colored the cinnamon stick and star anise images with some colored pencils and trimmed them out as well. Then, I heat embossed the "You had me at pumpkin spice" stamp onto black card stock with Versamark ink and white detail embossing powder. I used a Lawn Fawn mini frame die to cut out the sentiment onto a stitched oval.
For the background, I used the Altenew Snowflake Star Cover Die with a piece of white card stock and attached it to a piece of acetate. I built it up onto two thin layers of foam tape and went around the edges with a paintbrush and baby powder to remove the static.
I turned my acetate piece over and added the shaker bits. I used my Zig glue pen to put some glue onto the foam tape where I accidently brushed it with the baby powder. Then, I cut a piece of light brown card stock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and laid it onto the foam tape.
I added my colored images and sentiment to the front of the shaker and then attached the panel to a 110 lb. white card base.
Shakers are so fun and I loved mixing up the coordinating sequins and beads to get a colorful, sparkly fall mix! â¨đ I also like the softness I get from using colored pencils, but I definitely need some practice! đ
